![]() ![]() If you plan on pursuing such an offensive approach you're better off with your attacking armies having only fast moving divisions. So the general idea is to keep pushing while the enemy is falling back and reorganizing. Exploitation of a breakthroughs takes speed, and infantry divisions just don't have that (unless you motorize or mechanize them). ![]() In HOI4 exploiting breakthroughs and encircling enemy divisions is a pretty big thing. With offensive armies it get's a little more interesting, but ultimately you'll want to look at the speed of the divisions in the offensive army. In my experience, it is effective to have defensive armies commanding only infantry divisions, and offensive armies. The way I understand the question is, that you'd like some opinions on the merit of mixing up an army with both armour and infantry divisions (not going into the templates themselves, and assuming they're established and tested such as 7/2 for infantry divisions). ![]() Usually I just make 24 tank division under 1 general and 24 infantry division under another general.
